Kimball had a revelation that granted blacks the priesthood, they had a serious problem in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Unless you were of the chosen race "white and delightsome" like it’s founders, you were considered "loathsome" and cursed with "a skin of blackness"(1 Nephi 12:23). In fact the Book of Mormon teaches "cursed shall be the seed of him that mixeth with their seed; for they shall be cursed even with the same cursing"(2 Nephi 5:21-23). Mormon scripture claims that the virgin Mary was "exceedingly fair and white" (1 Nephi 11:13). The church was founded during a time of much civil unrest in America. La Voz looking like a Mormon publication.  Full color front cover article and two articles inside, one which offers English language lessons at a Pasco LDS church.  With Kennewick, Washington having its own Mormon temple and dozens of churches in the area they are making a desperate effort to reach the increasing Hispanic population.  Thousands of Hispanics have been drawn to the Columbia River basin as a result of large agricultural businesses in the need for farm labor.  If the LDS church can only get these people paying tithes and wearing magic underwear they can get a temple recommend and get them performing temple rituals for dead ancestors in effort to get them into Mormon heaven.  A perfect business model for the Mormon empire.  They are not likely going to tell them right away that the Mormon Jesus is the Devil's brother or that they should strive to become gods.  That would blow their cover.

Melchizedek is one of those mysterious characters in the bible that cults like to have fun with.  He first appears in Genesis 14:17-20 where Abram (later called Abraham) returns from a battle and Melchizedek, the king and priest of Salem, blesses him with bread and wine.  Abraham in return offers him a tenth of the spoils of war.  The fact that Abraham paid him this tithe shows his respect for this mysterious priest of the Most High.  Then by the priest honoring Abraham with a blessing of bread and wine suggests his spiritual superiority over Abraham.  The New Testament picks up on this theme where this priestly king is compared to Jesus who abides a priest forever or perpetually (Heb. 7:1-3). One might note that kings and priests are two different offices in the bible and only Jesus, and this mysterious Melchizedek fit the picture. The 162nd Mormon temple was opened in Rome, Italy January of 2019 So the same lying Mormons that once claimed all other Christian creeds were an abomination and their professors all corrupt now do a publicity stunt with the Pope. According to Mormon "scripture" in 1 Nephi 14:10 there are only two churches, one is of God and the other is of the Devil. "And he said unto me: Behold there are save two churches only; the one is the church of the Lamb of God, and the other is the church of the devil; wherefore, whoso belongeth not to the church of the Lamb of God belong to that great church, which is the mother of abominations; and she is the whore of all the earth." The Book of Mormon claims to tell a story of the Americas between 600 B.C. to 421 A.D.  speaking of animals and archeological items that did not appear until they were brought there after 1492 when Columbus sailed the ocean blue.  So apparently the writer of the BoM either knew nothing about history or simply dreamed up this fictional tale to deceive ignorant people who are eager to believe a lie.
