Mormons, Prophets and plural wives

Why does it always end up about sex?
When people believe you are a prophet and you take a liken to another man's wife or daughter, no problem, get a revelation from God and take her for your own.  Both Muhammad and Joseph did it.  One of Muhammad's wives was only six years old.  Joseph Smith claimed many young teenagers who were easily brainwashed.  He dreamed up a means by which he could be sealed to other men's wives in a "celestial" marriage and still allow them to continue to be married to the present husband on earth.  This polyandry business was a clever invention by Smith.  Many of these men went on to practice similar polygamist marriages themselves.  The bible story about Abraham having sex with his wife's maid (Gen. 16) which turned out to be a nightmare, Joseph Smith put a new spin on it in Doctrine and Covenants (132:34-35) claiming that it was actually God's idea.  This was Smith's way of convincing his followers that what he was up to was a God thing.  In fact, he went so far as to claim that having a few concubines was how one entered into exaltation and became gods (D&C 132:37)

Though polygamy was practiced in the Old Testament in some cases it is clearly condemned in the New Testament.  "An overseer, then, must be a husband of one wife..." (1 Tim. 3:2)  The kings of Israel were warned about multiplying wives to themselves. (Deu. 17:17)  Mormons will often argue that a prophet is not a king or an elder therefore the rules don't apply to them.  There is no end to the ways men will twist logic in order to feed the desires of the flesh.

Anyone familiar with biblical language and the timeline of the New Testament events will have problems with the Book of Mormon.  In 1 Nephi chapter 13, which supposedly covers a time period between B.C. 600 and 592, we read of references to a great abominable church which has gone forth from the Lamb to spread the gospel.  The Greek word however where we get the word "church" was not even thought of much less used in the Bible during this time.  The Greek bible did not come into existence for several hundred years with the advent of the Septuagint LXX and the word gospel did not come about until the time of Jesus.  The writer of the Book of Mormon is playing to a naive and ignorant audience that would likely know only King James English and have little knowledge of ancient biblical languages.  In Doctrine and Covenants 76:67 there is even mention of a church of Enoch. Mormon America B.C. 600 to A.D. 421 examined by Dale Brown

The Book of Mormon claims to tell a story of the Americas between 600 B.C. to 421 A.D.  speaking of animals and archeological items that did not appear until they were brought there after 1492 when Columbus sailed the ocean blue.  So apparently the writer of the BoM either knew nothing about history or simply dreamed up this fictional tale to deceive ignorant people who are eager to believe a lie. Biblical coins Museums throughout the world display coins listed in the Bible yet the Nephite coins (senine, ezrom, onti, shiblon, shiblum, etc.) listed in the BoM (Alma 11:5-19) are no where to be found.  Metallurgy was not developed in the Americas and the natives were quickly undone by the steel swords of the Spaniards, yet the BoM records fine steel bows (1 Nephi 16:18), fine steel swords (1 Nephi 4:9). Mormons and the Jews

Mormons will do whatever is necessary to manipulate people.  In order to appeal to the Jews they make the claim that Zionism is God's method in which eventually the Jews will unite with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and build a temple in Jerusalem under the President of the church, who they claim holds the keys of the gathering of Israel. (Mormon Doctrine, by Bruce R.
