Please don't call us Mormons

Mormon prophet Joseph Smith claimed that "the Book of Mormon was the most correct of any book on earth and the keystone of our religion." Yet, it has gone through many changes since it was first printed in 1830 and it does not even mention one of the church's key rituals, that is, the baptism for people already dead through proxy baptism by present day church members.
The summer of 2018 finds the Mormons making another desperate move to distance themselves from their dubious past.  Their whole religion is based on the Book of Mormon and other "revelations" dreamed up by their prophet Joseph Smith but suddenly they do not like to be called Mormons.  What is next, demanding the DOT to replace signs that speak of Mormonism?
One whole county in Idaho is named after a Book of Mormon
character named Limhi which got misspelled

In effort to appear like other Christian denominations they now highlight the name Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and have changed the appearance of their churches to look like any other christian church (minus the cross).  With church growth waning starting January of 2019 they will shorten their Sunday meetings from three hours to two in order to appease the masses.
Fifty years ago their churches sported three spires,
but to neutralize questioning all of that has changed
Masters of spin and deception most recently the cult has even asked that the Mormon Tabernacle Choir no longer use the title Mormon.
A cult by any other name will smell the same.
The Mormons are famous for changing their public image.  Ex-Mormons Jerald and Sandra Tanner spent much of their life documenting the deceptive nature of the Salt Lake Empire.  They wrote numerous books showing the changes in the Book of Mormon and church policy.  Nothing has changed.  All you have to do is cite old Mormon literature and you will instantly get a reply from Mormons that you have quoted material that is not official doctrine of the church.  A church built on lies has to continually be propped up with additional lies.  Muslims call this the doctrine of abrogation, that is, every new revelation negates or neutralizes all previous revelation.
