Another Mormon Hypothesis
Like many Mormon writers Timothy Ballard goes to great length to draw a connection between the Mormon prophet Joseph Smith and the divine destiny of America. In this case he connects Smith and his Book of Mormon with Abraham Lincoln. How one can find a parallel with Lincoln who lead the nation in a fight against slavery and the "white and delightsome" Mormon prophet who would not allow blacks to be a part of his priesthood is another page of fiction.
